Phi Phi Leh
If you’re interested in a romantic getaway, then you’ll love Phi Phi holidays in Northern Thailand. The islands of Koh Phi-Phi Leh and Laem Tong are the perfect places for it. Both are renowned for their beautiful beaches and vibrant marine life, and offer an ideal setting for snorkelling and swimming. While they’re far from ancient, Phi-Phi Leh offers the perfect balance between romance and relaxation.
The town of Koh Phi-Phi Leh was once devastated by the Indian Ocean tsunami. In the wake of the disaster, the town’s inhabitants organized a group to clear debris from the island. They recruited 68 Thai staff members from the local refugee camp, as well as 3,500 volunteer backpackers to help clean up the town. In addition, the village has a bustling industry harvesting edible bird’s nests.
Loh Dalum Bay
Loh Dalum Bay is an active area of Koh Phangan, an exotic tropical paradise. Its turquoise waters, white sand, and incredible views are all attractions in and of themselves. The raucous party scene, however, is something else altogether. The area has good value accommodation and a range of activities to suit everyone’s budget. Located on the hillside above the town, Sabai Sea View Bungalow provides great views and a secluded atmosphere.
You can choose between secluded retreats, luxurious resorts, and budget options. There are some excellent resorts and hotels in this area that are close to the action. You can find a nice hotel near Tonsai Pier or a peaceful beach on the other side of the island. For more luxury, try a secluded hotel. Or stay at a cosy beachfront hotel that offers modern amenities, such as free WiFi.
Laem Tong
For a romantic evening, make your way to the picturesque beach at Laem Tong on your Phi-Phi holidays. You’ll find some stand-alone restaurants on the beach, and most belong to resorts and hotels. Candlelight dinners are romantic on the beach, and honeymooners are known to make a special trip to Laem Tong. To enjoy authentic Thai cuisine, head to the Chili And Pepper Restaurant. It has a great view and excellent Thai food.
One of the two or three resorts on Laem Tong is Zeavola. Its beachfront location puts you in the middle of everything, and it’s surrounded by bushes and trees. While it lacks a bath tub, Zeavola’s rooms are dark and atmospheric, with mosquito-netted windows. The beach is just a few steps away. You’ll spend the night on the beach, or swim laps in the pool.
